Happy Father's Day to all the amazing dads. ❤️ For those of you who are new to our account, my (Hudson) dad was my hero. 9 years ago, he passed away from a heart attack in his sleep. It was a random Thursday morning and I remember getting a call thinking it was my parents calling about going skiing together that weekend. But instead, the call was to tell me that my dad died. Since that day, Em and I have tried to make the most of the time that we have. Which is one of the reasons why 7 years ago, we moved into an old RV and set out to travel the 50 states. I could have never imagined that decision would lead to us now visiting 167 countries. I still miss my dad almost every day, but I'm so thankful for the 24 years I had with him. To any dads out there, the most important thing my dad ever did for me was this: Every night he told me that my parents love me, God loves me, and I should love God and others with all my heart. I didn't know at the time how important that was to me. To grow up knowing that I was loved gave confidence. And knowing to love God and others gave me a purpose. I consider myself to be one of the luckiest people to have had such amazing parents who loved and encouraged me. My mom is my hero who encourages and prays for us more than anyone I know. Her example of loving God and others despite all she's been through is amazing. Also can't go without saying how thankful I am to have the most amazing in-laws! Em's parents have been an incredible encouragement to us, and would drop anything to show up and help someone - and they've done that countless times for us! The Father's Day before we left for our RV trip, we called Em's dad at 6AM and asked him to drive the whole way to Maryland to help us move (after he had already asked us multiple times if we were sure we didn't need help) and then spent he spent many late nights helping renovate our RV. So happy Father's Day to Em's amazing dad as well, and we are both very grateful for our parents
