As long as you keep waking up, you've got more of your story to write. Just because something bad happens to you at any point in your life, does not mean it is over. It's one setback, or one obstacle that's just in your way on your journey to your goals. I just listened to an incredible podcast where he talked to about an accident that he was involved in. He was run over by his 14,000 snowcat machine and had 38 broken bones, collapsed lung, and really could have died. A big focus of the conversation was on WILL. The desire to keep pushing and keep fighting no matter what happens to you in life. He could've just accepted what happened to him as something terrible and allowed that to define him. He could've have been bedridden or paralyzed or functioning at a much lower level but instead he attacked his rehab every single day because he wasn't done with life. He wasn't ready to call it quits. Stories like that make me wonder why I would ever choose to quit on anything in life. People go through hard shit all the time and come out better and stronger on the other side. My injuries have been no different. 6 knee surgeries, titanium rod in my leg, all of it. I'm still going. I'll never let something like that define me because I know it's just shaping me into the person that I am meant to become.
