I grew up with a fixed mindset and perfectionism, so I really unraveled when I was working on something challenging that made me feel like a failure. Our kids go through this. All of them. And the ability to develop a growth mindset and excitement for learning and improving is so important. My children may be a little young to truly grasp this concept now, but I want to sprinkle it into our discussions around their frustration.
