Today I attended a celebration of life for a dear friend’s daddy. The same man whose table I sat at just this past Thanksgiving — welcomed, loved, treated like family…and not just accepted, but celebrated. I’ve shared before that I don’t do New Year’s resolutions. I choose one word. One anchor. One truth to live by as my North Star each year. Sitting there today, it hit me with full force. My word for 2026 is PURPOSE. Not the polished kind. The real, raw, vulnerable kind. The kind that tells the truth even when it’s uncomfortable. The kind that lives out loud so others feel brave enough to do the same. Because one day, we will all be remembered not for what we owned — but for how we loved, how we showed up, and whether we lived a life we were proud to leave behind.
