I can’t control how long I’ll be here… but I can control whether my daughters are financially protected if I’m not. 1️⃣ Teaching them financial literacy early. We practice this every week through allowance. They’re learning how to spend, save, and invest while the stakes are still small. At this point, I’m confident my oldest will remember much of what I’ve taught her. If she ever needed to, she could pass that knowledge down to her younger siblings. ❤️ 2️⃣ Investing as much as I can for retirement. If I don’t get to be around to enjoy it *with* them, then that money becomes theirs to enjoy life on my behalf. 3️⃣ Life insurance. (Even SAHM’s need this!) I have a 30-year term life insurance policy. If I don’t get enough time to earn all the money I planned to, the policy fills that gap. It would pay off our mortgage, fully fund their college education, and provide enough of a buffer to help them through whatever comes next.
