Hubby appreciation post ❤️ (didn't expect to get emotional in that voiceover!) It's hard to believe it's coming up on 9 years since we lost Hud's dad. That was the hardest moment of our lives, but I am so inspired by Hud's joy even through his pain, and how it motivated him to more intentionally live out the stories he hopes to tell someday. Losing Hud's dad was a really challenging reminder of how we literally aren't even guaranteed tomorrow. It really made us think a lot more about the short time we have on earth and what happens after we die. Since then we've continued to research the things we were taught growing up (which I highly recommend, no matter what you believe) and the more we learn about Jesus, the more His love for people blows us away. So for us, the stories we hope to tell someday are that we made the most of the time that God has given us. That we love people as Jesus does and enjoy every moment together. (haha sometimes we do a better job of that than others). Haha oh boy I didn't mean to make an emotional video today. 😳 I'm just so thankful for Hud's quote and for the example of living intentionally that he's shown me. Like just today, he was showing me his list of goals for the year, and I was thinking how I'm half thankful and half intimidated by how intentional he is hahaha. So the real question is, what quote should I print on a poster for him next?! 😂
