this obviously does not apply to creators who are spewing absolute hate about others and being racist, homophobic, transphobic, etc… this is specifically about those scenarios where it’s just women who are having the dumbest controversies about mascara, starbucks, clothes, like stuff that ends up not mattering much at the end of the day. I think it’s great to talk about the issues behind the controversy, with influencers and marketing and proper advertising guidelines & all that. I think had a great take on this situation in that sense! but the way people take these opportunities to completely tear down women by bashing their appearances and personalities and just absolutely hating on them just does not sit right with me 😃 also when i say “our internalized misogyny” i don’t mean that i am misogynistic, i mean that we all have some parts of internalized misogyny that we don’t even realize because it was engrained in us growing up. i am always actively working to unlearn those things 😃👍 i may delete this bc posting this stuff is scary to me LOLLLL but just wanted to share my thoughts on it bc women can always use more love & less hate 🫶
