An NYPD mounted unit officer and his horse Kelly chased down a purse thief on the streets of Manhattan's Upper West Side on Wednesday after a witness flagged that someone had just stolen a bag near West 72nd Street and Columbus Avenue. Bodycam footage posted by the NYPD shows the officer galloping down the sidewalk and into the street yelling '''Police, stop! Stop running!'''' as pedestrians cleared out of the way. With the help of a good Samaritan who helped restrain the suspect, the officer caught up, recovered the purse and made the arrest. The suspect, 44 year old Felicia Field, was charged with grand larceny and false impersonation after allegedly giving a fake name upon arrest. She has 14 prior arrests and is on lifetime parole for a fatal robbery in 2000.
