Can you imagine doing this much work just to make bread?! It was really delicious but I would never have the patience to ferment the dough for THREE MONTHS! If you are wondering the reason this tree is nicknamed "false banana" - it produces a fruit that looks like a banana but is inedible. However the roots and stems of the tree are (the real name is "enset") and helps feed a lot of people in the Omo Valley who don't have easy access to food.
