My apartment flooded twice last year between October and November (2025). It caused over $2000 in damages, caused me to lose one of my part time jobs and I have not been able to get caught up on rent ever since. I have been trying to find a new job and supposed to start at the end of this week or early next week. Keep in mind I still own a small business and it’s just my slow season currently so come March I will likely be caught up but not if I am being evicted! Today when I tried to pay $590 towards my balance my rent portal said that I can’t make online payments at this time. I have called my landlord and waiting for a response but I need financial help and/or resources.
