So many people have a dream location they want to visit in their lifetime but can't afford to travel there. This is one way to help you reach your bucket list destination. 🎉 The thing that has helped us afford to travel the most has been setting a budget and breaking it down into more manageable daily goals. $14 a day seems small, but it can take some work, so here are some tips... 1️⃣ The easiest way to save is by spending less. Make a list of everything you spend each month. If it's possible to opt for cheaper housing, transportation, less dining out, or saving $ on big expenses - that can help a lot. Sometimes that's not possible, so... 2️⃣ Another way is by making an extra $14 a day. Here are some ways us and/or our friends have made some extra $ to put toward our next trip! - Uber driving - Walmart+ delivery - teaching English online - selling products on Amazon or eBay - doing freelance work through Upwork 3️⃣ A third way is to break this goal up even more. Instead of saving for 1 year, save $5 a day and visit your dream location in 3 years. ❓Why $5,000? This goal can get you pretty much anywhere in the world. We chose the word dream "location" instead of dream "vacation" because everyone has a different idea of what their dream vacation is like. But even the most seemingly expensive places can be done for less. For example, when we visited the Maldives and French Polynesia, we stayed on local islands and cheap AirBnbs and still had a trip of a lifetime! So set a budget that works for you! We know this isn't a possibility for everyone. When we first started traveling 12 years ago, this wasn't a possibility for us. So we started by saving a little every month and taking weekend trips in our van. Hopefully this info can help some people be able to save for visiting their dream location!
