Your mental illness is your shame around being a prophet. Consider that. ❤️ Your assignment as a watchman and prophet *requires* you to be wired differently. Literally even in your neurology. Otherwise how could you SEE differently? You *have* to be “weirdly wired,” otherwise you would see the way other people see. But you’re a watchman. You have to be able to “stand on spiritual walls” and “see” what others don’t. But you probably grew up being told there was something wrong with you. And that turned into an identity wound and if that wound gets deep enough, serious depression and mental illness. But it’s because your wiring is just misunderstood. Had you been raised in an atmosphere that *honored* your wiring, you wouldn’t have developed a “mental illness.” But you were taught to be *ashamed* of it. And that shame got so deep it turned into a disorder. And so you developed a disordered identity. But it is not your identity in Christ. It is the identity of the world that as children we just accept. If you struggle with mental illness, it’s not because there is anything wrong with you.
