Number one, they probably notice more than you think, and if you are struggling, but your words constantly say that you're doing great, it can be confusing and disconcerting to your child. Second, your life isn't perfect. And you're not happy all the time. Nobody is. It's okay to be honest about life with your child. It paints a healthy picture of what they are to expect in their own lives. Your ability to manage hard times and get through them is a great model for your kids. This is a great one from Dr. Becky.
