lol Selling Sunset is such an effed up show if you think about it — thousands and thousands of people remain unhoused in L.A., meanwhile mostly thin women in expensive outfits prance around empty $20M second homes built for wealthy people to throw lavish parties. Very much eat the rich vibes. But this last season said a lot. Watching Mary’s anxiety and anger directed onto Chelsea was weird af — especially knowing how Black women are often labeled “aggressive” for defending themselves from hate. Chelsea showed so much restraint, even when she had every right to go off on Mary for coming at her out of left field. It reminded me how often white women’s fragility when they're going through challenges gets centered, while Black women’s struggles gets flattened as "rudeness" or being "fake."
