Send this video to your man for your next date! We had so much fun doing this while hiking in Mount Charleston (which is less than an hour from the Vegas Strip)! Many people think of Vegas as just casinos and nightlife, but there are so many fun outdoors experiences. This date idea reminded me of one of my favorite childhood memories. My parents loaded us all in the car and at each turn, they gave us options like left or right. We “just happened” to end up at an ice cream shop! But it was so exciting and fun not knowing what was going to happen next. And Hud and I still love doing this today. If you want to get outdoors while you're in Vegas, there are hundreds of hiking trails within an hour of the strip! Valley of Fire State Park, Red Rock Canyon, and Mount Charleston are three of my favorite areas. There's 60 miles of trails in Mount Charleston for all different hiking levels - and since I picked “easy” (I genuinely did pick all these by the way!), we hiked the Eagles Nest Trail. Three other good trails are the Bristlecone Loop, Desert View Overlook, and Cathedral Rock Trail. Vegas has so many incredible outdoors experiences, and Mount Charleston is an excellent place to take a break from the strip and enjoy the beautiful outdoors!
